Better Together

At Rainbow Place we focus on our clients and delivering the best care possible. That means working together with other organisations and providers to make it happen.
We’re fortunate to have partnerships with some excellent organisations who complement what we do. We share information, training, development and resources in order to best help the children, young people and their families who are referred to Rainbow Place.
Hospice Waikato
Hospice Waikato is very well known throughout the region for high quality of care they deliver and the sheer volume of good work they do. They are also the body that governs Rainbow Place. We’re proud to be part of Hospice Waikato. Naturally, our services are available to children and young people who have a family member that is a Hospice patient. www.hospicewaikato.org.nzGrassroots Trust
Grassroots Trust is one of Rainbow Places major supporters. Grassroots Trust was established in 2003 to support sport, education and community organisations. Rainbow Place is grateful for the Trusts ongoing and generous support. http://www.grassrootstrust.co.nz/Cancer Society of New Zealand
The Cancer Society is New Zealand’s leading advocacy agency for people affected by cancer. Parents and caregivers with a cancer diagnosis, benefit from the Cancer Society’s support services, and they in-turn can refer children and young people to Rainbow Place for support around the cancer diagnosis of the parent or caregiver. www.cancernz.org.nzChild Cancer Foundation
The Child Cancer Foundation is another well known and highly respected organisation that Rainbow Place works alongside. Together we support children and young people with a cancer diagnosis and their families. Our local Child Cancer Society branch very generously assisted us to furnish our ‘sleepover’ facility where sick children and their families can stay for a well deserved break from the ‘tough stuff’ they are facing. They are an outstanding organisation and we’re proud to be associated with them. www.childcancer.org.nzArtmakers Community Artists Trust
Artmakers is a great local organisation that not only supports and encourages young artists, but takes on community art projects in partnership with organisations like Rainbow Place. For the past three years these amazing young people, under the inspirational direction of Sylvie Bolstad, have been enhancing the Rainbow Place environment with some fantastic art work.Come and have a look at the art work at Rainbow Place or contact Artmakers to find out more. www.artmakers.co.nz
We Know You’re Out There!
We’re keen to get to know other organisations, either in our local community or nationally, who work with children and young people going through ‘tough stuff’. Together we can be stronger, and more effective advocates for our children and young people. So, please get in touch with us, after all, it’s all about people... He Tangata, He Tangata, He Tangata!
